Jeju Airport's flight operations return to normal
SEOUL, Feb. 6 (Yonhap) -- Flight operations at Jeju International Airport returned to normal on Tuesday afternoon after heavy snowfall and strong winds cancelled or delayed hundreds of flights, the transport ministry said.
The airport on South Korea's resort island resumed passenger service as of 3:00 p.m. after workers de-iced planes and cleared the runway of snow, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in a statement.
A total of 415 flights -- 384 flights on international routes and 31 on domestic routes -- were scheduled at the airport on Tuesday. Among them, 34 flights were cancelled as of 2:00 p.m., the ministry said.
