Netmarble's 'Lineage 2: Revolution' lands in S. America
SEOUL, May 11 (Yonhap) -- Netmarble Games, South Korea's top mobile game developer, said Friday it has rolled out its mega-hit title, "Lineage 2: Revolution," in South America.
The mobile massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is now available in the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store in 38 countries, including Brazil, Columbia and Argentina, the company said.
"The version launched in the South American region is a global build version that provides an optimal environment for users not used to MMORPGs," said a Netmarble official, who asked not to be named.
The game has gained a lot of popularity since its release in 12 Asian countries, including Japan, as well as in North America and Europe, becoming the No. 1 app in terms of sales both in the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store.
Netmarble Games, established in 2000, has produced some of the most successful mobile and online games to date, including "MARVEL Future Fight," "Seven Knights" and "Everybody's Marble." The company successfully debuted on Seoul's bourse last year.
