The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs plans to repatriate the remains of Dr. Mirok Li, a patriot and the author of 'The Yalu Flows,' who is buried near Munich in Gräfelfing, Germany, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation. Minister Kang Jung-ai visited Dr. Li’s grave in Gräfelfing near Munich on the 10th (local time) with Gräfelfing Mayor Peter Köstler. They agreed to further hold practical discussions and cooperate fully for the repatriation. Meanwhile, Minister Kang Jung-ai concluded her business trip to France and Germany that began on the 5th, stating, "Our visit to France and Germany served as a meaningful opportunity to express gratitude for their participation in the Korean war and to discuss the repatriation of the remains of patriots buried overseas. We will continue to repay the gratitude to UN veterans and make our best efforts to inform and pass on the history and legacy of the independence movements at home and abroad to future generations."
