Vocalists sweep top 3 places at music competition in Italy

Domestic vocalists have swept the top three places at this year's Valsesia Musica International Competition in Varallo Sesia, a town on the outskirts of Milan, Italy.
The event's official website on Nov. 5 said baritone Lee Jonghwan won first place.
Bass Kim Minsu and soprano Jo Younmi both tied for second and bass Kim Seongwon finished third.
Launched in 1981, the contest has three categories: voice, violin and piano.
