The White House of the U.S. on March 25 said, "The U.S. is committed to working with Acting President and Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and the ROK (Republic of Korea) Government."

The Prime Minister's Office in Seoul quoted the American presidential office as saying, "We are confident in the democratic resilience of the ROK and the Korean People."

On Dec. 14 last year, Prime Minister Han became acting president after the National Assembly passed a bill to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol. The following day, then U.S. President Joe Biden phoned Acting President Han to express his "trust" in Korean democracy and said the "ironclad" bilateral alliance remained unchanged.
