- The Graduate School of Korean Studies, the Academy of Korean Studies(AKS) -
The Graduate School of Korean Studies of the Academy of Korean Studies, a public institution under the Ministry of Education, is recruiting new students for the 2024 Fall semester (special admissions) as follows.
A. Programs: Master’s or Doctoral Degree
B. Majors: 13 majors in humanities and social sciences related to Korea
C. Scholarship benefits for international students and overseas Koreans
1. Tuition fees are fully waived during the program period (2-year master’s program, 3-year doctoral degree program)
2. Excellent students are provided with a government grant (monthly stipend of KRW 800,000 for a year, renewable upon evaluation)

E. Online application period: Fri, Mar. 15 at 10 AM – Fri, Mar. 29 at 5 PM(Korean Standard Time)
* Those unable to apply due to the tight schedule will be able to apply for the 2025 Spring Semester Special Admissions (online application period: Fri, Sep. 13 – Mon, Sep. 30).
