In 2019, we surveyed southern Vietnam for multicultural Koreans who are neglected by local government policies. Since then, we have implemented support programs for the following:

- Children of naturalized female Korean citizens currently residing in Vietnam

- Programs and activities of overseas Korean organizations and locally active domestic private organizations

Not only organizations of adopted Koreans but also other organizations of overseas Koreans involved in businesses related to adopted Koreans can apply. We have implemented support programs for the following:

- Organizations of adopted Koreans in the US, Europe, Canada, and Australia

- Organizations of foster parents of adopted Koreans

- Programs or activities associated with adopted Koreans launched by other overseas Korean organizations (Korean associations, Korean language schools (including councils), and arts and cultural organizations)

Application process and method are as shown below (timetable is subject to change).

① Dec: Demand survey (OKF)

② Dec–Jan: Submit application to the competent diplomatic mission (organization)

③ Jan: Application and opinion of the mission sent to the OKF (mission)

④ Jan–Feb: Convene review board (OKF)

⑤ Feb: Result of review delivered via competent diplomatic mission and provide subsidy (OKF)

⑥ Year-round: Submit program progress report (organization) within 60 days after completion of program to the competent diplomatic mission

⑤ Mar–Apr: Result of review delivered via competent diplomatic mission and provide subsidy (OKF)

⑥ Year-round: Submit program progress report (organization) within 60 days after completion of program to the competent diplomatic mission

※ Above timetable is based on periodic demand surveys. A spot survey will be conducted for certain programs (support for advancement of Koreans in CIS, support for construction of Korean community centers, support for Korean Residents Association in Japan, financial assistance for Korean language schools, delivery of instructional materials for Korean schools in China, support for future generation adopted Koreans, and support for multicultural vulnerable overseas Koreans).
