- OKF seeks desirable policies for overseas Koreans by understanding the current issues in Korean communities abroad.
The OKF periodically surveys the settlement of local Korean communities and
the competence of overseas Koreans for the mutual advancement of Korea and
their country of residence to offer basic data required by the Korean
government to establish proper policies for overseas Koreans.
Moreover, we investigate and survey current conditions for developing new
programs and improving current programs by region to suggest mutually
beneficial strategies between Korea and overseas Korean communities.
We also promote joint research efforts among international research
institutes to induce interest in and support from overseas Koreans.

With the national and international circumstances changed, OKF figures out the feasible direction of projects by conducting research and studies on overseas Korean communities and countermeasures.
