제6회 한민족문화공동체대회

매년 재외동포 예술인들을 국내로 초청하여, 국내 문화예술인들과의 교류를 통한 동포사회 내 문예진흥을 도모하고,‘한민족 문화예술 네트워크 구축기반을 조성키 위해 재외동포재단이 주최하고 있는 ‘한민족문화공동체대회' 를 아래와 같이 시행코자 하오니 역량 있는 재외동포 문화예술인들의 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.

The 6th Korean Arts Overseas Festival

Outline of Korean Arts Overseas Festival

The Korean Arts Overseas Festival provides an opportunity for overseas Korean individual artists and artistic groups from various genres to showcase their talents to a Korean audience. This event provides a chance for overseas Korean artists to come together with each other and with the arts community within Korea . This year thirty artists from around the world will be invited to participate in the festival.

  1. Categories: Performing arts (drama, dance and music), installation arts etc.

  2. Program Overview: Performances (Opening/Main), Conferences, Cultural Excursions

  3. Festival dates: August 30, 2006 ~ September 6, 2006

  4. Location: the National Theatre and Mt. Keumgang

  5. Number of overseas Korean artists participating: 30

  7. Application dates: April 10, 2006 ~ May 10, 2006

  8. Requirements: Active performers with citizenship or residency overseas, or who have lived for more
     than 5 years outside of Korea

  9. Selection of participants and notification:

    1) Selection: The 2006 Korean Arts Overseas Festival advisory committee will select applicants based
        on submitted taped performances and CVs.

    2) Schedule of notification: Successful applicants will be notified in June and listed on the
       www.okf.or.kr  site.

  10. Support: Successful applicants will be provided with a round-trip airfare (economy class) and
       accommodation by the OKF

  11. Co-organizers of the conference: Overseas Koreans Foundation (OKF) and the National Theatre
